Each ÖÖD house is thoughtfully equipped with all modern conveniences, including a private sauna, a cozy double bed, a kitchenette, a living area, and a bathroom with a shower — all with stunning views! The only intentionally excluded modern amenity is Wi-Fi, allowing you to fully immerse in the experience and enjoy complete peace of mind.

At Versso we have four distinct houses, each is designed with a unique Marimekko pattern, specially curated for ÖÖD. This house has the name Räsymatto (rag rug pattern), inspired by allotment gardening, is linked to topical themes like sustainable living and the joy of working with your hands.

Getting there and free parking
Versso Island offers the charm and seclusion of an island getaway, yet it is conveniently connected to the mainland, providing easy access for travellers. Reaching ÖÖD at Versso Island is convenient, whether by road, just an hour's drive from Helsinki, or by private boat. Additionally, private plane or helicopter access is available from Helsinki East Aerodrome, located less than 15 minutes away.
We have free dedicated parking area for guests near the houses next to our service building. It's approximately 2 minute walk to the mirror houses from the parking lot. Each house has dedicated buggies that you can use to easily take bags to your house.
For accessibility, cars can be driven next to the houses, however they cannot be parked there and must be taken back to the dedicated parking area after loading.
Pets are welcome
At ÖÖD in Versso, we offer two pet-friendly houses - Räsymatto and Tiiliskivi. We know that pets are family too! At our forest getaway, your furry friends are more than welcome to join you. Enjoy peaceful walks in the woods and let your pets explore the natural beauty of the area. We kindly ask that you ensure your pets are well-behaved and supervised during your stay to keep our retreat enjoyable for all guests. We can't wait to welcome you and your four-legged companions!
Birds and birdwatching
Our goal has always been to blend into nature without hurting it. ÖÖD houses are often surrounded by nature and in peaceful wild areas where there are birds and other smaller wildlife. At Versso, we have even spotted grey herons at times.
Birds often can't recognise windows or mirrors and therefore might hurt themselves. To prevent that, we use UV film stickers on all of our ÖÖD houses - on all of the glass panels. These stickers reflect ultraviolet light, which birds can see but humans can’t. When light reflects, birds understand that there is an object on their way and they'll change direction. We challenge you to try and find them, as they're almost invisible for human eye!

Our experience was absolutely amazing. I shared this moment with my partner, and we had a unique time! The weather was beautiful all the weekend, so we were able to enjoy the sunshine by walking on the beach, having a sauna, having a barbecue, and the next morning, having breakfast on the terrace. Erittäin viihtyisä ja hieno rauhallinen paikka upealla rannalla. Peilitalot siistejä, viihtyisiä ja hienosti sisustettu Marimekon laadukkailla tuotteilla. Muutama pieni puutekin löytyi, mm. juustohöylä ja paistinlasta puuttuivat astiastosta. Saunan oven edessä voisi olla jokin näköesteaita tms, jotta voisi huoletta saunasta tulla vilvoittelemaan, tosin mökit mukavan etäällä toisistaan. Grillin päällä voisi olla myös jonkinlainen sääsuoja katos, varsinkin sateisella kelillä grillausta ajatellen. Kaiken kaikkiaan loistava kokemus ja suosittelemisen arvoinen.
