It was interesting to stay in this mirrored cabin. Unfortunately, the reflections on the inside made photographing the pheasant that was throwing itself at its reflection, difficult. But to see the sky lighten in the morning while lying in the comfortable bed is just wonderful. Our hosts were very kind and helpful and provided sumptuous towels and staff for breakfast. Sitting on the decking, having breakfast and surveying the land was lovely. Sadly not much appeared on the pond as it’s not yet really established. I imagine that in yers to come it will be real treat to be in the cabin and watch all sorts of wildlife land on the pond. We saw 3 mallards! Sadly there were no giraffes or elephants galumphing over he meadow to come and drink at the local watering hole. If you live in a city, this would be a lovely way to spend a couple of nights in the country, just enjoying it all…..from te comfort of your bed.
Our stay at OOD hotel Pound Farm Pond Mirror House was a perfect escape! The tranquil scenery, with wild birds greeting us in the morning, made every moment magical. The cosy accommodations were thoughtfully designed, with fluffy towels, luxurious Bramley products, and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was a standout – farm-fresh and absolutely delicious, especially the homemade bread and jams. Emma and Nick were fantastic hosts , very approachable and making us feel welcome with lovely touches like locally sourced hot chocolate. A peaceful, relaxing retreat we’d highly recommend – thank you, Emma and Nick!
We decided to spend a night away somewhere to escape and relax... This was the perfect place to do so! The location is beautiful, the accomodation is amazing and Emma & Nick were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome! It was obvious that great care and attention had been put into making our stay a memorable one. We loved being able to sit back and relax with a cold drink, tasty chocolate and some fresh homemade bread and jams that were in the accomodation waiting for us. Can highly recommend!
